THRIVE for Colleges

Increasing Wellbeing, Attendance, Attainment and Achievement

By learning what they need and being able to communicate with greater confidence, learners and educators are more likely to work collaboratively. In our experience, this leads to increased wellbeing, attendance, attainment and achievement.

Explore Genius is your dedicated partner in enhancing the educational experience for learners aged 16 and above. As specialists in neurodiversity programmes, coaching, crisis support and alternative provisions,  we're here to provide unwavering support for learners, educators, support workers and families, as you navigate what can be a challenging but also transformative journey.

Whether you're seeking ways to empower your students, enhance your teaching strategies, or create a more inclusive learning environment, we would love to join you: together we can make a positive impact.

THRIVE in College Programme

THRIVE for College Educators and THRIVE for College Students are transformative programmes designed specifically for Further Education learners and tutors who want to increase attendance, attainment and achievement.

THRIVE for College Students:

Equips students with essential skills and strategies to develop autonomy. It helps them take responsibility for their own learning outcomes and navigate their educational journey with confidence.

THRIVE for College Educators:

Provides educators with guidance and resources to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.

All programmes offer personalised one-to-one coaching as well as group workshops and run for between 6-12 weeks. We promote self-awareness, resilience, effective learning techniques, and a deeper understanding of neurodiversity.

Thrive For Colleges Can Include:

Attendance and well-being

When a learner loses confidence in their own ability to learn, it can impact their wellbeing and attendance. By exploring how the brain works and what is happening when they are learning at their best, it can provide understanding and insight into what works and what doesn't. This work provides students with the language and concepts they need to advocate effectively for their needs.

Time Management

The way we perceive and relate to time can have a direct impact on how we communicate - with ourselves and others. Lack of understanding can cause frustration when it comes to planning, decision making and organising workflow. By learning about how you experience time you can learn to prioritise effectively, reducing stress, overwhelm and conflict.

State management

There is an increasing awareness of the impact neurodiversity, mental health and wellbeing have on a learner's ability to process and make sense of the world around them. This highlights the importance of state-management skills in the ever-changing learning environment.

Our learning hubs can provide your college with an experience of how individuals can become aware of the impact they have on others. As they learn how to manage their own state more effectively, they can collaborate more easily to find lasting solutions.

Harnessing strengths

We encourage a strengths-focused approach. Increased awareness of strengths and abilities builds confidence. This feeds the resilience needed to work on strategies for managing behaviours that are impacting performance.

We model what is happening through the lens of curiosity - not labelling anything as good or bad. We simply identify what works, what doesn't work and what could work better for all.

Time for a new approach

THRIVE Hubs provide learners, educators and support teams with time and space to learn about themselves and their own patterns, whilst becoming mindful of how differently we each experience the world around us.

Explore Genius coaches and facilitators are known for their agile approach. We adapt sessions to the needs of the participants in each moment. We ensure that, collaboratively, we create the conditions for everyone to be at their best.

Through a combination of one-to-one coaching and group learning hubs, you can expect to experience and develop the skills to listen and hear in a way that leaves you and others feeling that all experience is accepted, honoured and acknowledged.

When individuals develop strategies to plan and achieve assignments on time, it reduces stress, anxiety and overwhelm. This can lead to greater confidence, increased attendance and an ability to advocate for what they need to learn at their best. We firmly believe in the uniqueness of every learner.

This means we are flexible in ourapproach and can co-create programmes that work for you.
